St Patrick’s Day Makeup Look

Hey Everyone,
HAPPY PADDYS WEEKEND! ☘️

Today I’m posting a makeup look that is perfect for St Patrick’s Day weather your heading to the parade or even working this look will suit whatever your up to, it’s simple to recreate and isn’t time consuming (by the way the flag is the right way around just my camera makes it look like it’s backwards sorry guys) let’s get straight into it…

I always start of priming my face. I always tend to use the BRYT calm serum because it works so well as a makeup primer and keeps my makeup looking great and lasts all day. I normally then do my eye makeup before putting a foundation on just because I prefer this way. I prime my eyes with MAC Paintpot in colour Painterly.  For this look I then went in with a big blending brush using a MAC green eyeshadow (sorry I’m unsure what it’s called as the name has worn off it) I worked this into the crease until I was happy with it.

Using the gorgeous new Lid Lingerie from NYX in the colour LIDLI09 (Morning Sky) I place this gently on the base of my eye and blend it in. This is really pigmented so not much is needed when putting this on your lids as it is an eye tint but is completely weightless and feels just like normal eyeshadow when on your eyes.I know I definitely will be wearing this on St Patrick’s Day. This is a gorgeous teal colour mixed with a gold shimmer.

It is also available in a gorgeous range of nude hues from soft baby pink shimmer and bronze to deep taupe shimmer and jade, each colour will give your lids an elegant flush of colour. These are available in pharmacies nationwide and are definitely worth having in your makeup box. Once my eyeshadow is complete I then go in with the Catrice Gel Liner in black to give myself a nice winged liner.

Moving on to the face I conceal my face using a foundation stick from Pennys(primark) I know that sounds weird but for me it works great and gives me extra coverage. I then go in with the Boujour 123 step correct foundation and blend that into my skin using a beauty blender.
I love contour and my favourite palette to use is the SOSU contour palette. I contour and conceal my face using the creams provided in the palette I then use the power in the palette to set my concealer and go over the cream contour with the powder contour just to give myself more definition.
I recently just received the NYX strobe of genius illuminating palette so I thought I’d give it a go with this look. I mostly just used the highlighter in this as I had already contoured my face before I realised I could of strobed my face with this kit instead. Anyway I used the highlighter from this palette to highlight my checkbones and down the bridge of my nose. This palette is basically like “forget everything you learnt about Contouring and embrace this new highlighting trend:strobing” This is from NYX new incredible collection of must have illuminators designed to give you everything you need to achieve today’s most sought after look. This product is fab and I can’t wait to play around with it more. It retails for €21 and is available in pharmacies nationwide.

Once my face is almost complete I then move onto eyebrows. Recently I’ve been using the Mylene Klass Eyebrow kit and it’s one of my favourites. I use the two darkest colours and then set them with the gel provided in the kit.
I then use a MAC kohl black eyeliner pencil to fill in my waterline. And then with the new NYX double stacked fiber mascara I coat my lashes in this which gives amazing results and no false eyelashes are needed. All you have to do is coat your lashes using the mascara then using the nylon lady fibres coat your lashes with this and then seal them in place with another layer of mascara…simple. This product retails for €21 and is available in pharmacies nationwide.

I then finally finish off the makeup look with a nude lipstick and top it off with a clear lipgloss and there you have it the look is complete.

You can keep it just like this or go that extra bit Irish by adding the Ireland flag to the top of you cheekbone/under eye which is what I did. I just think it’s simple and not too tacky and out there.

Be sure to check out the gorgeous new range of products available from NYX and give them a follow on twitter to keep up to date with all things makeup @NYXcosmetics
