How To Bake in a Box with Dr. Oetker!

Hey Everyone,

If you have seen my recent video over on my YouTube channel then you will know that Dr.Oetker sent me out some gorgeous baking goodies to try. I thought I’d make a video as well as a blog post.

Dr.Oetker have released 3 new Bake in the Box mixtures in 3 new flavors which are: double chocolate, banana and chocolate chip and lemon and poppy seed. As well as the 3 mixtures I was sent some sprinkles, flavored essence, chocolate, Icing and lots more. I love baking and one of my favourite shows to watch is the great British bake off which I only realized last week that dr.oetker actually sponsor the show so I was only delighted with myself. Anyway as I mentioned I decided to film a video on what I baked (which is over on my YouTube channel link below) the bake in the box cake I chose to make was the Lemon&Poppy seed one. Lemon cake is always a favourite of mine so I just had to try it out. My brother joined me in the video so he made the Double chocolate cake as that’s his all time favourite.

How to Bake in the box!!

Step 1: So once you open up the box there is a packet of mixture inside. (This is probably one of the most easiest cakes I’ve ever made in my life if I’m honest.)

Step 2: open up the packet of mixture a pour this into the box it came in. (Yes it’s literally Bake in the box!)

Step 3: For the lemon&poppy seed cake and the banana and chocolate chip cake you will need 100ml of milk. If your making the double chocolate cake then you’ll need 130ml. Measure out the milk accordingly and pour the mix into the box on top of the rest of the mixture.

Step 4: MIX IT ALL UP!!!!

Step 5: once the mixture has come together then all you have to do is pop it into your preheated oven (175 degrees) check after 10 minutes to ensure it’s cooking pop It in the oven for a further 15mins and you’ll have the perfect cake loaf.

Literally it’s that simple no mess, no clean up and it’s done in 30mins or less!!! I absolutely love this especially if your in a rush or don’t have time to buy all the ingredients separately this is the quickest way to make yourself the perfect cake at home.

To remove the box all you have to do is rip the sides and the box opens perfectly for the cake to just slide out onto a plate. SO SIMPLE!

I really love this idea for at home baking it’s perfect. You can pick one of these fab new flavors up from your local tesco and get to work on your own masterpiece. For this cake you can decorate it if you like I just keep them plain simply because they are even prefect with no added extras.

That’s all for today! Make sure to follow @droetkerbakes over on Instagram and also on their website
Hope you all enjoyed this tastey little blog post also make sure to check out the video we filmed on how we made our Dr Oetker Bake in the box loaf cakes. Check it out and subscribe

Envy Dual Fix 12 – review

Hey everyone,

Recently I’ve discovered a new hair product which I’ve been loving so I thought I’d do a post on it. I had never tried anything from this brand before this is the Envy Dual Fix 12. It is a professional salon treatment that helps repair all types of hair. (Amazing am I right? One product to fix all!!) It contains a perfect balance of silk proteins and keratin amino acids to target any damaged areas of your hair and helps give it moisture to give you long lasting results. With 12 incredible benefits for smoother, glossier hair that’s easier to manage, The Dual Fix 12 hair repair treatment has been described by leading industry magazines and consumer bloggers as a “miracle in a bottle” I would have to agree.

I have tried many hair products before to sort out the dryness of my hair in which some have done a good job for me just like this one. I’m always a bit weary when it comes to hair products and ask myself all the time “does it actually work?”

This product for sure is one of those that has helped my hair out especially the dryness of my hair. I have bleached my hair before so it’s not as smooth and soft as I’d like it to be but Envy dual fix 12 has helped to give my hair a lot more shine and reduce the dryness (I’m not saying it gets rid of the dryness of my hair but it has definitely reduced it)

Envy Dual fix 12 has 12 key benefits in total to keep your hair looking amazing these 12 key benefits are:

1. Amazing shine

2. Helps to repair damaged hair

3. Weightless silk effect

4. Easier detangling , smoother brushing

5. Helps to rehydrate hair

6. Improves styling and blow drying results

7. Thicker and fuller feel

8. Helps Reduce any Frizz

9. Rejuvenates tired colour

10. Hair feels stronger

11. Reduces the appearance of split ends

12. Lasts for weeks

There are 2 different ways in which you can use this product. First off is
* Intensive use – This is where you apply generous and even amount of product from roots down to the ends onto dry unwashed hair. Rough dry with hairdryer until completely dry. Then rinse out product thoroughly, it’s recommended to shampoo twice and then condition as normal.
* Regular use – Shampoo your hair, and rinse as usual apply a generous amount of product to wet hair, leave in for 1 minute, then rinse out and condition as normal.

This is the routine I have been using and it has worked well for me.
I love the packaging to the black and green is really sleek and it also smells really good. Just like shampoo really.

As previously mentioned Envy Dual Fix 12 is suitable for ALL types of hair, including fine, thin, thick, straight, and curly hair.

This product retails at £19.95 and can be bought direct online from the website
That’s it for this weeks review I hope you all enjoyed be sure to follow @envyprofessional over on Instagram to keep up to date with what’s going on.
What are your thoughts on this product have you ever tried it before? Or will you be trying? Let me know in the comments below

Eczema Awareness Week – Uriage Xemose

Hey everyone
Happy Monday!

If your not aware already all this week from September 11th – 16th 2017 is Eczema Awareness Week.
Do you suffer from eczema?

Whether you do suffer with it or not I’m hoping this post will give you all a little bit more of an insight into what eczema is. Personally I do not suffer with eczema but I do know people who do.
Basically Eczema is a general term used for a group of skin conditions that cause dry, itchy, scaly, and red skin. Unfortunately there is no cure for eczema but it is manageable to reduce the severeness of all of the above conditions. Would you believe that here in Ireland eczema affects 1 in 12 adults and 1 in 5 children also. One of the most important things with eczema is to keep your skin hydrated and also moisturising your skin to prevent it from drying out. Emollients are great for this.
How to identify eczema?

Eczema can be identified as areas of your skin will become very dry, itchy and also there may be some inflamed red patches but it’s nothing to worry about as this condition is controllable.
If some of you are familiar with the brand Uriage then you may have heard of their new range, if not that’s what I’m going to tell you about today. YIPPEEEE!!

The Uriage Dermatological ranges are formulated with unique patented ingredient complexes developed for specific skin conditions. The new Uriage range is called URIAGE XEMOSE. This Uriage Xemose range has 3 patented ingredients that help against Exzema.
* The first ingredient is Chronoxine: this is an anti-inflammatory meaning it will help reduce/prevent and inflammation of the skin.
* The second ingredient is Cerasterol-2F Technology: this combines fatty acids like omega 3 and 6 to give a nourishing and soothing effect to the skin meaning any itchiness or redness will be reduced.
* The third ingredient is TRL 2 Regulator: this helps to regulate the innate immune barrier meaning it reduces the appearance of dry and scaly skin.

Uriage Xemose is a treatment for anyone who may suffer from eczema or any other skin irritations. As I have mentioned I do not suffer from eczema but I do suffer from dry skin. I have been using the Uriage Xemose Lipid-Replenishing Anti-Irritation Cerat for a couple of weeks now and it definitely has helped the dryness in my skin especially around my nose which is where I suffer most. For anyone that suffers with eczema or any other skin conditions this product will definitely help you out. It reduces itchiness, redness and dryness and gives a really nice soothing effect to the skin. I really love it. It can be used on your face and also body so any dry skin patches for example elbows it will really help reduce it. Especially for those suffering with eczema I’m sure this product will become part of your daily routine once you try it out. It really does give instant and long lasting comfort which is what you want in a product like this. It is available in pharmacies nationwide and costs €19.50 for a 200ml tub. I do know McCabes is definitely a stockist as I have previously bought products from this brand in there before.

Another product that’s not from the Xemose range but is a huge part of the Uriage collection which I feel you guys will also love this product is the Uriage Thermale water. I absolutely love this I have mini bottles of this which come in so handy for travelling and also have a full big bottle which is perfect to fit on your bathroom shelf.

The Uriage thermale water also helps to treat eczema along with burns and other skin conditions. It soothes sensitive, helps strengthen the skins hydrolipidic film and restores the cutaneous barrier in the skin. I love spraying this on my face especially when my skin feels irritated after removing makeup it instantly gives a soothing and fresh feel to my skin. This bottle can be bought in a 50ml, 150ml and 300ml versions and is also available in pharmacies nationwide( again I have picked this up in McCabes before) the prices start at €5 for the 50ml bottle, €9.50 for the 150ml bottle and €14.50 for the 300ml bottle.

I would definitely recommend the Uriage range it’s one of my favourite skincare brands to use. If any of you have tried out this brand or either of these products before do let me know in the comments or send me a message if you’ve anymore questions?

I hope you all enjoyed today’s post. Make sure to give @UriageIreland a follow over on twitter etc.
Much Love,

Train your waist with Body Fleek

Hey everyone,
With operation transformation starting this week I thought it would be an appropriate time to post about the recent waist trainers I received.
A couple of weeks back I was sent 2 waist trainers from Body Fleek. Being honest I had never tried out waist trainers before so I honestly had no clue as to weather these would work of not. I got the everyday waist trainer and the latex corset. I have only tried these on and haven’t been wearing them properly so I haven’t seen much of a difference but again since operation transformation is starting this week I have decided as well as following operation transformation I am also going to commit to wearing my waist trainer for the recommend amount of hours per day. So what I’m planning to do is at the end of 6 weeks I will write up another post of how I’ve gotten on with the waist trainers and let you all know if there’s any difference in my body shape.

The Everyday Waist Trainer:

The BodyFleek Everyday Waist Trainer is perfect for women new to waist training. So I’m hoping this one will get me used to waist trainers. The stretchy spandex material keeps the stomach tight while allowing the skin to breathe. The best thing is it’s perfect to wear under gym wear, work clothes or at special occasions. Nobody will notice that your wearing a waist trainer.

Latex Waist Trainer (with zip):

This waist trainer is Made from 100% latex, this corset is great for training the waist into desired hour glass figures. Also is great to wear for any occassion as it’s easy to move and breath in. What this waist trainer does is:
* Accelerates weight loss through high compression

* Immediately reduces waistline

* Immediately flattens the tummy

* Corrects yourposture

* Gives Back support

* Promotes quick postpartum recovery

* Relieves most kinds of any lower back pain

* Flexible boning prevents the garment from rolling up or moving.

* Available with Zipper or hooks front closure

* Made of latex with cotton lining

 I will post a full blog post about my waist training journey until then you can follow me on Snapchat and Instagram: @CiaraaGlynn and I’ll update you throughout to let you know how I’m getting on.
