Last week, Thursday the 27th of September the Irish Beauty Blog Awards sponsored by Tan Organic, took place in Lillie’s Bordello Dublin.
Basically this event celebrates all bloggers and content creators big or small from around Ireland.
I was lucky enough to have been shortlisted in not one but TWO categories ‘Best Fashion Influencer’ and ‘Best Social Media Influencer’ which I still cannot believe and can’t thank you all enough for voting constantly and getting me to the shortlist.
It was my first year at the awards so being honest I didn’t really know what to expect. The biggest worry everyone as I’m sure most would agree when you get an invite like this is what am I going to wear? The dress code for the night was “GLAM” so straight away I went shopping for an outfit. Being honest it took me a good while to find something I tried online and I stores but only 3 days before the awards I found an outfit online and ordered it (I know cutting it short)
The outfit I went for was a wine coloured jumpsuit and everyone knows I love a good jumpsuit. This one had no straps was a bandeau style, a belt that tied around the waist and two slits on either side of the legs (which I know you can’t really see but trust me they’re there)
I ordered the outfit from the petite section like I normally do as I’m only 5″4″ so I wouldn’t be the tallest. This jumpsuit is from BOOHOO when I ordered this there was 30% off on the website so all together the outfit only cost me €20 BARGAIN!!!!
My shoes I went for were from Penneys. They where a black open toed heel with a clear strap across the foot. These I only picked up in Dundrum Shopping Centre last week and cost me €16.
I wore gold jewelry on the night with my outfit and actually tried out a new tan too which I kinda love. I tried the Crazy Angel Tan which is a brand I had never tried before but so far I’m absolutely loving it and the fade is so so even.
My hair and makeup I did myself.. literally I just curled my hair and clipped back the front parts underneath just to make it look a bit different for the night. My makeup, I used the Bperfect Cosmetics Carnival Palette to creative a Glam look on my eyes. My foundation is the Maybelline Superstay in the shade ivory as always and to darken it up a little more (as I had tan on and it didn’t really match) I used the SoSu Contour Palette which always works a dream and of course the SoSu highlighting palette was used for that glow.
I’m also still not over the fact I got to meet the one and only TOFF!!! Georgia Toffolo from made in Chelsea and Winner if I’m a Celebrity.. attended the awards on the night and is probably one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Queen is right.
We had the best night with our friends at the awards and of course afterwords too. We got to meet some new gorgeous creators on the night too who normally I’d only see through Instagram.
Overall it was the best night and I had so much fun. Again thank you all for getting me to the shortlist and well done to all the amazing winners on the night.
Roll on 2019…
